Burie Webster Clements, Jr. (B.W.) age 86, of Panama City, Florida passed away peacefully March 3, 2014 at Covenant Hospice surrounded by his family.

He was born in Pierce, Florida and has been a resident of Panama City since 1964 moving to Panama City from Vero Beach, Florida.

He enlisted in the United States Navy and served three plus years with an Honorable Discharge serving on two ships stationed in the Pacific Theater. He was a Veteran of WWII.

He attended Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida for two years then transferred to the University of Florida where he earned his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Agriculture in 1954 and 1956 respectively. Upon Graduation he was employed with the USDA in Tifton, Georgia and Savannah Georgia followed by more than thirty years as a Entomolgist for the State of Florida and later retired as Director of the John A. Mulrennan, Sr. Research Labortory in Panama City, Florida.

He has been a member of Forest Park United Methodist Church since 1964, during that time he served as a Lay Leader, as well as, taught Sunday School.

He was a Master Mason of ACME Lodge #222, Panama City, Florida. He was active in Masonic service for more than 50 years. He also is a member of the Shaddai Shrine Temple, Elks Lodge #1598, Moose Lodge #1398, Kawanis, President of Clown Unit Shriners, President of Florida Mosquito Control Association and for nine years coached baseball for the RL Turner League of Forest Park.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 61 years, Louise Clements; two daughters, Mary M. Rogers (Dr. W.W. Rogers, III) Pensacola, Fl; Karen L. Morrison (Robert) Panama City, Fl. and son Burie W. Clements, III "Webb" (Jo) Port St. Joe, Fl. Eight grandchildren, Robert W. Underwood (Tanya) Amy E. Crabtree (Phillip) David Wesley Underwood (Natalie) Debra Lynn Vidrine (Gerald) Baton Rouge, La. Pamela Marshall (Pat) Huntsville, Al. and Van Morrison (Andrea) Goosecreek, S.C. Sixteen great-grandchildren, David, Bradley, Kayla, Jackson, Dawson, Christian, Carson, Isabella, Amanda, Tracie, Michael, Brianna, Joseph, Christopher , Maggie and Nicholas.

He was preceded in death by his father, Burie Clements, Sr., his mother, Margaret T. Clements and two sisters, Margaret Hammack and Marilyn Jan Clements.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 7, 2014 , between 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Forest Park United Mehtodist Church located at 1401 West 23rd Street, Panama City, A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Forest Park United Methodist Church with Dr. John Freidman officating.

The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful care given by Dr. Bruce Josten and staff, Dr. William Dent and staff Dr . J.L. Trantham , Dr. Gregory Morrow and staff, as well as, the entire staff of Covenant Hospice.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Shaddai Temple, Walter F. Richardson Transportation Fund, The Forest Park United Methodist Church Building Fund or Covenant Hospice.
