John Joseph "Jay" Zebroski, 65, of Panama City Beach, Florida passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at his residence surrounded by loved ones.

Jay grew up in the suburbs of Washington DC and was a longtime resident of Pittsburgh.

Jay is preceded in death by his parents Bernard John and Mary Elizabeth Zebroski; and nephew Scott Marbury.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years Mary Pat Zebroski; children Tina Zebroski, Brendan Zebroski (Jessica), Tobias Zebroski, Maura Zebroski, and Matthew Zebroski; sister Patricia Lanier; brothers in law Mike Brown (Becky), Joseph Brown (Ellen), and Jim Brown (Hanka); four cherished grandchildren Benjamin , Kaden, Nathan , and Sammy Zebroski ; nieces and nephews Greg, Brian, Cory, Annie, Katie, Bridget, Erin, Kelly, Jessie, Catherine, James, Carey, and Becky.

Jay had a special place in his heart for Jennifer Romoff, Dan Gold, and Opheli Lawler. He will be missed by friends especially Tom and Linda Donaghue, Don, Marty, and Sara Sirmons, and his four legged companions Rhett-Rho and Lois.

Jay was a proud graduate of the University of Notre Dame and a Steeler fan. He will be remembered for his dry sense of humor, patience and love for family, his commitment for mentoring youth, and volunteer service to organizations for people with disabilities. These traits touched and positively influenced many lives.

Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 23, 2014 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday, August 22, 2014 at Kent- Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Rosary will be at 7:30P.M.
