Nancy Witter Sloan, age 69 of Alabaster, Alabama passed peacefully at her home on February 8, 2014.

Nancy was born in Pennsylvania on July 17, 1944; the daughter of Frank A. Witter and the late Bertha M. Householder Witter. She was a resident of Lynn Haven, Florida for 37 years. She retired from Sallie Mae Loan Servicing Center in 2004. Nancy served for many years as member of the City of Lynn Haven's Zoning Board. She worked for a local paper for a brief period of time after retirement before moving to Alabaster, Alabama. Nancy was a loving wife and a devoted mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, John(Jack ) Sloan; two daughters, Susan Lank(Tony), Shelly Walsh (David); Four Grandsons, Matt Dottl (Jocelyn) of Saratoga Springs, NY, John (J.D.) Walsh of Alabaster, Bradley Benton of Andalusia, and James Walsh of Alabaster. Father, Frank A. Witter of Monroeville, PA; Sister, Patricia Duff of Export, PA; Sister, Sylvia Kelley of Greensburg, PA; Sister, Alyce Liber of Pittsburg, PA; Brother, Melville F. Witter of Monroeville, PA; and Brother, James Witter of China.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on March 1, 2014 at the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1389 in Panama City, FL.
