Lt. Col. Robert E. Neubauer (USAF Ret.) passed away peacefully on July 22, 2014 surrounded by his loving family.

Lt. Col. Neubauer was born in Newark, New Jersey on October 1, 1931, served 20 years in the US Air Force, flying in Korea and Vietnam, including 372 combat missions. He was later assigned to the USAF Air Staff, Pentagon and retired from Tyndall AFB after twice earning the Distinguished Flying Cross, (one with Valor), 15 Air Medals, the Bronze Star, three Air Force commendation medals and numerous awards. He later worked in the real estate business and co-founded ERA Neubauer Real Estate with his son Tom in 1977. He served as president of the Bay County Board of Realtors in 1980 and later worked for State of Florida flying DC-3 aircraft supporting mosquito control missions from 1985 -1990.

Mr. Neubauer is survived by his former wife, Marie Neubauer of Lynn Haven, Florida; sons William Neubauer of Miami; Thomas Neubauer (Margaret); of Panama City, Mark Neubauer of Lake Mary, FL and daughters Nancy Spiccia (Joseph) of Alpharetta. GA; Joan Meckelberg (Brian) of Wautoma, Wisconsin; eleven grandchildren, Brian, Alan, Lori, Jason, Amy, Susanna, Joe, Brandon, Lauren and Natalie and four great grandchildren, Ava, Jadeyn, Kylie and Gavin, and close family friend, Doreen McDonough of Melbourne, FL.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at St Dominic Catholic Church 10:00 AM Friday July 25, 2014. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Fisher House Foundation for Military Families, 111 Rockville Pike, Suite 420, Rockville, MD 20850.
