Robert "Bob" Zipperlein, 71, of Panama City, passed away Friday, March 29, 2013 at a local hospital. Bob was an Air Force MSGT and served in the Vietnam War. He retired after 20 years of service.

Bob resided in the Panama City area for over 35 years, and was a Superintendant with the Department of Leisure Services for the City of Panama City. He was a Life Member of Amvets Post #2298 and a former member of the American Legion. Bob also loved traveling with his wife.

Bob is survived by his wife of 49 years, Karen Zipperlein; daughter Denise Fox (Dwayne); brother Fred Zipperlein; two sisters, Marie Watson (Patrick) and Barbara Zipperlein; three grandchildren, Michelle Zipperlein, Kyle Fox and Austin Fox; and his beloved dog, Rex.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Kent Forest Lawn Chapel, with Rev. Virgil Tillman officiating.
