William Beiswanger of Panama City Beach, FL. passed on Monday, Sept. 23 at his home.

Bill was born in Atlantic City, NJ and grew up in Pennsylvania. Upon graduating High School he entered the United States Marine Corp during World War II and was stationed at Pearl Harbor. He was Honorably Discharged and attended college at Florida Southern University earning a degree in accounting. He subsequently attended New York University for his M.B.A.

Upon graduation, he worked in New York as a Certified Public Accountant for Esso. Oil Co. (now Exxon). It was there he met Jane, the love of his life. They married in 1957 and moved to Venezuela for 5 years. He then attended Law School at The University of California, Berkley, and earned a post graduate degree in Tax Law.

He became an Associate Professor at Chico State University and subsequently Louisiana State University teaching upper level accounting. In 1969 they settled in North Palm Beach, FI where he and Jane raised their family. It was there he began practicing Law specializing in Estates and Trusts. He also continued to teach accounting part time for more than a decade at Florida Atlantic University.

Bill had several outside passions. He had a great devotion to the Episcopal Church and studied theology in his spare time becoming an ordained Deacon. He also sang in the choir and served on the church Board. He had a keen interest in astronomy, science and nature and took several college courses to enhance his knowledge. He volunteered for years at the John D MacArthur State Park on Singer Island, FL where sea turtles nest.

Perhaps his biggest outside passion where his four legged companions. Over the years he had eleven dogs, five of whom were rescued. Since he practiced Law from his home, they were always at his feet.

Special thanks to his cousin, Thomas Conklin, for being his lifelong friend.

In addition to his parents, William and Meta, he is preceded in death wife Jane of 49 years and daughter Jill.
