Edgar Giese, 72, of Panama City, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at a local hospital, surrounded by his family. Edgar was a Vietnam veteran, and served in the United States Air Force for 22 years as a MSGT. He also worked for the US Postal Service. Edgar enjoyed trains and bowling was a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan.

Edgar is preceded in death by his first wife, Diane Giese; and parents Winfred and Mildred Giese. He is survived by his wife of 4 years, Edie Giese; two children, Michael Giese (Kristina) and Michele Mays; two step-children, Michael Garrett and Angela McSwain (Matthew); a sister, Judy Hebbe; and seven grandchildren, Benjamen Giese, Matthew Giese, Jeremy Giese, Tyler Mays, Malana Lopez, Marcos Lopez and Logan McSwain.
Funeral services will take place Monday, January 7, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Kent Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Charles Key officiating. Entombment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Edgar's grandsons. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 6, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family would like extent a special thanks to the ICU Unit at Gulf Coast and the staff at Glencove Nursing Pavilion for their love and support.
