ALDERMAN, FRANCES LLOYD 68 - of Lynn Haven, was called to heaven on Friday, September 21st, at Gulf Coast Medical Center; having bravely battled breast cancer. The memory of her beauty, grace and love for every-one around her cannot be dimmed by any disease. She was born on January 25, 1944 in Columbus, GA. to the late Lloyd Bowen and Frances Lee. She lost her biological father in WWII, Lloyd Bowen, before she was born. Wood-row Lee then married her mother and raised her as his own. They settled in Phenix City, Al, where Frances graduated from Central High School, Class of 1962.
The Guest Book is expired.
She moved to Bay County in 1968. With heavy hearts, the family mourns the loss of their beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. While the family was not ready for her to leave, they believe the Lord needed another angel and he truly received an angel in their Frances. She was a vibrant, beautiful, giving, loving and especially caring woman who can never be replaced.
She is best known for her ability to love everyone unconditionally. She touched so many lives during her time on earth and taught many how to give selflessly. Everyone who knew Frances would tell you she would give you the shirt off her back, even if she only had a few dollars to her name at the time. She was a true inspiration to everyone around her. Her family and friends feel so blessed to have had her as a part of their lives. "We love you and will miss you Mom, Grandma, Memaw, Aunt Frances and dear friend."
She is survived by her brother, Greg Lee, daughter Kelly Dianne Chisholm (Kenneth Chisholm), son Trey Al-derman (Tara Alderman), and her "baby boy" Joseph Alderman. She will always be "Grandma" to grandchildren Kristen Williams (Nicholas Williams), Kimberly Chisholm, Brittany Alderman, Karlie Chisholm (fiance' Christo-pher Fleig), Megan Alderman, Jennifer Alderman, Rachel Alderman and Connor Chambers who will all greatly miss her "coffee talks." Her sister-in-law Hortense Hair (Joe Hair) will miss their Friday adventures. Nieces and nephews Scott Hair, Joe Hair (Jody), Patrick Hair (LeAnn), Camilla Hudson (Chris), April Lee, Christina Lee, Stephanie Lee, will miss her unconditional love and support. She will be missed by her faithful pets Muffin, her snuggle buddy, and Maggie, her protector.
The family would like to thank mom's many friends who offered prayers during her struggle with cancer. We told her each and every day about the outpouring of love; it gave her strength when she needed it. The family would also like to thank Susan Hanson, dear friend and ICU nurse, for her loving, compassionate, and great care of her "Panama City Mom" while in and out of the hospital.
A celebration of life will be conducted today, September 25, 2012, 7:00 P.M. at Southerland Family Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Raymond Wishart officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7 prior to the service. Online condolences may be submitted or viewed at www.southerlandfamily.com
