Iris Anderson went to sleep Monday night, Feb. 9, 2009, and woke up with her Lord.

Iris was born in Ireland and moved to the United States in 1974. She was a woman who always could be relied on, she always fulfilled her commitments. She loved to listen to her choir at St. Andrew United Methodist Church. She was active in United Methodist Women for many years at the local unit level, as well as the district and conference levels.
She was extremely active in the Panama City Garden Club and the Lynn Haven Garden Club and had served as a district director and at the state level.

She was a true friend. She was a great traveling companion and was ready to go any time. We will miss you.

She is survived by two brothers, Brian Savage and John Savage; stepson, Norman Anderson and wife, Linda; stepgrandchildren, Sean Anderson and Ellen Anderson; sister-in-law, Erna Savage; nephew, David Savage; and a dear friend, Winn Marsh.

A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009, at St. Andrew United Methodist Church with the Rev. Chris Cook officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 2-3 p.m. Saturday. Asked to serve as honorary pallbearers are Panama City Garden Club members, Lynn Haven Garden Club members, Rebekah Circle of United Methodist Women and the Golden Circle Sunday school class of St. Andrew United Methodist Church.
