Jarrid Lee "Buckshot" Hood, 38, of Youngstown, passed away Monday, March 18, 2013, of a massive brain stroke, which is also known as a "bow hunter's stroke."
Jarrid loved the outdoors and the God who created it all. He spoke of how great and amazing God was, and that he always marveled as he sat in a tree stand to see the beauty of the sun coming up and all of nature awakening. Jarrid loved life but most of all he loved his wife, family, and the seven beagles that he carried hunting. He took pride in the work he could do with a piece of heavy equipment and for the gift God had given him to operate that equipment. Jarrid will be missed by a loving wife, his mother, his grandparents and his father who was so proud of his son. We will cherish the moments that we shared with Jarrid, and will especially miss him when we hear the excited bark of beagles giving chase, see a God given sunrise from the tree stand, or remember our " family hunt" days. Jarrid "Buckshot", we love you.
He is survived by his wife: Karen Hood; his parents: Glenn and Debra Hood; his maternal grandparents: Joe and Margie Littleton; his step-grandmother: Dolores Hood; his mother-in-law: June Bydal; two sisters-in-law: Rhonda and Jennifer; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Grady and Hortense Hood; and by his father-in-law: Wayne Bydal.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2013, at Heritage Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 22, 2013, at Bear Creek Assembly of God. Interment will follow at Youngstown Cemetery.
