Leo Gainer Obituary

Leo Gainer, 82, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at 10:30 p.m. at Parthenon Health Care.

He was born May 28, 1928, in Panama City, Fla., to Pasco and Rosa Gainer. Survivors include his former wife of 25 years, Estell Gainer; two of his three children, Connie Gainer and Kenneth Gainer; and also a stepson, Ronald Merritt, all of Fort Walton Beach Fla.; as well as one daughter-in-law, Dorothy Gainer and his granddaughter, Mesha Gainer, also of Fort Walton Beach., Fla. He was preceded in death by his eldest son, Marvin Gainer; his parents, Pasco and Rosa Gainer; and his brothers, Harry and Earnest Gainer.

Leo is also survived by his brothers, Pasco Gainer Jr. (Anna, deceased) of Miami, Fla., Alphonso (Ernestine) Gainer of North Lauderdale, Fla.; sister, Mary L. Carey of Panama City, Fla., Beatrice Gainer (Earnest, deceased) of Panama City, Fla.; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 216 Jonquil Ave., Monday, May 2 at 11 a.m.

Officiating at the memorial services will be Brother James Holmes SR. of the Mary Esther Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
