Mary Sue (Wildes) Crain, 83, of Panama City, passed away Monday, April 7, 2014, at Covenant Hospice at Bay Medical Center.

Mary Sue was born in Bessemer, AL and was a 1952 graduate of "The" University of Alabama. She lived in Panama City since 1952, working as an educator and librarian in the Bay County School System, retiring after 30 years service. Mary Sue was a long-time, faithful member of the St. Andrew Baptist Church where she attended the Chapel Sunday School Class. She enjoyed shopping and traveling, and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Mary Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Susie Wildes, and by a brother, Paul J. Wildes.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Gary Crain; her children Angie Crain Bennett (Hank) of Lynn Haven, Jay Crain (Candice) of Palm Harbor, FL and Joe Crain (Donna) of Hoover, AL; a sister, Alice Villadsen (Wayne) of GulfShores AL; her grandchildren, Allison Stettler (Keith), Brittany Crain, Jacob Crain, Haley Crain and Dalton Crain; a great-grandson, Colton Stettler; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM Friday, April 11, 2014, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Robert Crider officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 PM.
