Sarah Grace Thomas, 88, of Panama City passed away Thursday, November 29, 2012.

Mrs. Thomas was born July 9, 1924 in Washington County, Florida. Prior to retirement in 1977 she was a kindergarten teacher for 30 years. Mrs. Thomas was a member of First United Methodist Church of Panama City, the Women's Club of Panama City, Garden Club, and Retired Teacher's Association. She was a graduate of Bay High School Class of 1941 and attended Florida State College for Women.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mark W. Thomas, and her parents Roy and Beulah Adams.

Mrs. Thomas is survived by a daughter, Catherine Thrasher and husband, Paul, a son, Harry F. Thomas and wife, Beth; four grandchildren, Hank Thomas and wife, Amy, Robert Thomas and wife, Amy, Annie Donaldson and husband, Travis, Shelli Rose and husband, Zach; ten great grandchildren, Jack Thomas, Josh Thomas, Macy Thomas, Sam Thomas, Ella Grace Thomas, Riley Thomas, Noah Donaldson, Tyler Donaldson, Kaitlin Hood, Gavin Rose; two brothers, Charles Adams and wife Doris, and Terrell Adams.

Funeral services for Mrs. Thomas will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Monday, December 3, 2012 in Southerland Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Rascoe and Chaplain Bob Daffin officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers are Ken Thomas, Bert Thomas, Bill Thomas, Hugh Thomas, Mike Helms, and Billy Lark. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to First United Methodist Church Building Fund or Covenant Hospice in memory of Mrs. Thomas. The family would like to thank Covenant Hospice and the staff of Community Health and Rehabilitation for the care given to Mrs. Thomas.
