Mr. Steven "Teddy Bear" Smith, 34, lifelong resident of Panama City, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2012, at a local hospital.

Steven was born September 26, 1977 in Panama City, FL to Chief M/S Ezra Carlton Smith and Mrs. Prayongsri A. Smith. He attended Good Shepherd Lutheran School and graduated in 1996 from Rutherford High School. Steven attended Gulf Coast Community College for two years. He loved hydraulic cars and loud music, and was a member of the LOD Motorcycle Club. He was a great and loving son to his parents, a loving husband to his wife, and he truly loved all of his family and friends. He would give you the shirt off his back. Steven was Baptist by faith.

He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Lynn Smith of Panama City; his mother: Prayongsri Ann Smith of Panama City; two brothers: Michael Carlton Smith of Washington, DC, and Oley Smith of Thailand; two aunts; Rev. D.J. Mooney of Kansas City, MO and Rev. Rosalind "Roz' Lowry of Peoria, Illinois, along with a host of cousins in the United States and Thailand; his mother- and father-in-law: Deborah and Bobby Youngberg, Sr., of Panama City; his brothers-in-law: Michael Stevens and wife Tracy of Beacon, NY and Andrew Stevens of Hollywood, FL; his sister-in-law: KC Stevens of Hollywood, FL; and his four-legged daughter: Betty Boop.

Steven was preceded in death by his father: Ezra Carlton Smith and his grandmother: Eula Zanders.

A private Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Memorialization is by cremation.
