William Patrick Belin, 22, passed away suddenly in Tallahassee, Fla., on Friday, April 16, 2010.
Patrick was born in Jacksonville, Fla., on June 11, 1987, and moved to Valrico in 1988 with his parents, Steve and Lynn, and older brother Stephen.
As a young boy, Patrick – modest and soft-spoken – enjoyed and participated in sports and many school activities. He especially took pleasure in music and spending time with his brother Stephen and his many friends. He most of all enjoyed spending time at home.
Patrick attended Brandon Academy in Brandon, Fla., through eighth grade and then graduated from Newsome High School in 2005. During high school, he met the love and joy of his life, Lauren Ashley Rhyce, whom he married on June 12, 2009. Patrick was a Dec. 2009 graduate of the University of South Florida in Tampa, receiving his B.S. degree in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Public Health. He had decided upon a career as a pharmacist and looked forward to joining his wife Lauren in Florida A&M University's College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences in the fall of 2010. While preparing for his pharmacy studies, Patrick worked in the pharmacy department of Publix Super Markets.
In addition to his wife Lauren Rhyce Belin, Patrick is survived by his father and mother Stephen Andrew Belin and Lynn Knox Belin of Bartlesville, Okla.; his brother, Stephen Andrew Belin, Jr.; his father-in-law and mother-in-law Larry and Sharon Rhyce of Valrico; grandparents, Tom and Mary Knox of Port St. Joe; grandparents-in-law Luis Zayas of Valrico and Mary Jane Rhyce of Lady Lake; brothers-in-law Ryan Rhyce of Atlanta, Georgia, and Christopher Rhyce of Tallahassee; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
