Charles G. Fields, 58, of Bedford, Ky., passed away Monday, June 15, 2009, at Norton's Hospital in Louisville, Ky.

Cremation was chosen. A memorial service was held Wednesday, June 17, at Bedford United Methodist Church.

He was born July 5, 1950, in Louisville and was employed by Cincinnati Bell as an Information Technology Specialist. He was a member of the Safety and Rescue Team at the Madison Regatta and Bedford United Methodist Church. He enjoyed boating on the Ohio River.

Survivors left to cherish his memory include his wife, Linda Fields of Bedford; daughter, Jessica Fields of Knoxville, Tenn.; son, Steven (Renee) Skaggs of Melbourne, Fla.; two sisters, Pam Jellison of Portland, Ind., and Margaret Downs of New Albany, Ind,; grandchildren, Victoria, Alex and Meagan; many nieces and nephews; and a lifelong friend, Mark Fisher of Bedford, Ky.

He was loved by so many. With heavy hearts, we will do as he would, and "find a way" to carry on. He will be missed greatly by all.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John W. and Rosemary Fields; and a sister, Marilyn Blevins.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

It's hard to believe we have known each other a year jessie. And to this day I still feel your loss, and I'am sorry for your loss. But I know the love you shared will never go away and you will always feel each other when you need it. Just know you are never alone you have the support and care of friends too. I know you will love each other always and no matter what you are both listening to one another. But I just want you to know that you have a friend who supports and cares for you too, I promise... So my prayers are for you both, you never are alone I pinky promise Jess... ~Tina Bagelman

I am sorry Jessica Nicole for your loss. But I feel you were both lucky to have loved each other so much. And know that no matter what you are doing in life you are never alone, he is always watching over you with the same pride and love he had before. If you ever feel lost, just talk to him he will hear you and it will bring you peace. If you ever need strength just call on him and he wil provide. He will always be in your heart which means you love and that is the greatest feeling in the world. Tina Bagelman Augusta Ga
