The Lord has called another angel to heaven, Maureen Joyce Barnes, at the age of 74. She was called home at 9:11 a.m. on March 22, 2014 surrounded by her loved ones.
Maureen, better known as Mickey by her friends and family, was born on May 3, 1939, to the late George Francis Lynch and Ruby E. Lynch in Scranton, Pa.
Maureen was a long time resident of the Callaway area and was involved with many local business along side of her husband, Jimmy Barnes.
Maureen is preceded in death by her parents, George and Ruby Lynch; one son, Randy Walker; one brother, Ronald Lynch; one sister, Myrna Goley; and one granddaughter, Maureen Walker Bearden.
Maureen is survived by her loving husband Jimmy Barnes of Callaway, Fla;, her son Keith Kearney and wife Kathy of Fountain, Fla.; her daughter, Kim Ranee Adams, and grandson, Kristopher Strickland, both of Ponce de Leon Fla. She also leaves to cherish her memory her twin brother, Kenny Lynch, of Callaway, Fla.; five grandchildren, Aimee Henderson, Amanda Henderson, Shawn Brown, April Walker and Tony Walker; nine great grandchildren, Cassidy, Tyler, Unity, Elizabeth, Brooke, Brice, Bradley, Trinity and Serenity.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Brock's Home Town Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. with services following at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Charles Griffin officiating.
