Antti was born in Lahti, Finland on September 22, 1969, and became an Angel suddenly on April 24, 2014, at age 44.

Antti, with his dashing strawberry blonde hair and beautiful blue eyes, was happy, incredibly kind, and a caring soul. He was very giving and never met a stranger he was not willing to help. Once he gave his winter jacket, new and warm, to a homeless man. A true gentleman; always classy. He was full of hope and had such great plans for the future at his new found community and home in Laguna Beach, Florida.

Antti attended George Walton Comprehensive High School in Marietta, Georgia and spent his senior year of high school in Grenoble, France. After returning stateside for his high school diploma, he chose to go to study at the American University in Paris, France for a year. Next, he enrolled in Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA for two years taking advanced courses in Computer Science, Music, and Mathematics. Then he found and studied in Cogswell Polytechnical College (his favorite) in Cupertino, CA as one of the first students in Computer Electronic Music Engineering Studies. Antti was highly intelligent, truly a brilliant thinker, and so multi-talented in everything he attempted. His latest project being to complete renovation of the Florida cottage.

He was fluent in four languages (Finnish, English, French, and German) including every computer coding language known. Antti was employed as an Information Technology Consultant for Pentec International, Inc. Antti's passion was composing music, which he created all of his life. We were all amazed when, as a young boy, he sat down to our antique piano and started playing beautiful music. Antti struggled to find his place in life but felt very creative and healthy in Laguna Beach for the last two years. He loved the simple life, the ocean, the sunsets and the sunrise, and the night and early morning walks on the beach, which helped him heal and feel independent and whole again. Antti was a special person and lit up the room with his charisma. He was always so gentle, loving, and friendly. He didn't have a mean bone in his body. His dry sense of humor made us laugh. He was a true bright light in our lives, and we were blessed to have him here. He will be missed by all; but we will have him with us in our thoughts each and everyday, spiritually.

Antti's life will be remembered by his parents, Pentti and Silja Liisa Lahtinen; sisters, Karoliina and Katriina; nieces, Savannah and Annabella; cats, Grayson and Puma; and along with numerous family and friends from Finland and the United States. We all love him deeply. The family wishes everyone to play their favorite song and smile in Antti's memory as we celebrate his life.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, May 4, 2014 at Gulfview United Methodist Church in Panama City Beach, Florida. Rev John Woodrow will be officiating.
