Edna Weatherford Robertson, 93, of Panama City Beach, passed away June 21, 2014.
Edna was born to Wiley and Mattie Weatherford on July 21, 1920, in Leverette, Ala. Coming through the difficult years of the Great Depression, Edna worked hard to become an accomplished woman. She graduated from Ponce de Leon High School in April of 1931. Employed with the Federal Government for 25 years, she was wife and mother too. She earned her Bachelor's degree from the University of West Florida in 1975 and her Master's degree in 1977. Edna went on to pursue a career in Document Examination and Handwriting Analysis. During her time in Graphoanalysis, Edna authored a book which went onto become a standard in learning the craft. She also testified in numerous trials, some highly publicized. In the fall of 1996, Edna answered God's call and became an ordained minister. She officiated many marriages.
In her leisure time, Edna was a champion bowler and handy in the garden. She loved to tend her flowers in the warm sunshine. Edna was also an avid reader, nose in a book at any chance.
Edna was predeceased by her mother, Mattie L. Weatherford; father, Wiley L. Weatherford; sister, Agnes W. Webb; brother, Louis D. Weatherford; husband of 56 years, Louis M. Robertson; son, Clancy H. Robertson; and daughter-in-law, Linda F. Robertson.
She is survived by her granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Kelli R. Brinegar and Michael G. Brinegar, Jr.; great-granddaughter, Skylar L. Brinegar; nephew, Jack W. Webb and niece, Marilyn W. Rupe.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Kent Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steve Watson officiating.
