Mother Minner Lee Clark Dossie passed away Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009.

She was born June 11, 1919, in Mount Andrew, Ala., to the late Olan and Elsie Clark. Mother Dossie had resided in Panama City, Fla., since the early 1940s. She was predeceased by her husband, Deacon Wilson Dossie Sr.; six sisters and one brother.
Survivors include nine children, Willie Mae Thomas, Dorothy (the Rev. Woodrow) Wilson, Bettye (Countee) Abbott, Barbara Jones, Shirley Gavins, Wilson Dossie Jr., Eddie "Rick" Dossie, Gregory Dossie, Renee (Larry) Green; 14 grandchildren, Pequetta Freeman, Martez Wilson, Tanya Wilson, William A. Johnson, Yolanda Lefcourt, Japlyne Phillips, Dominique Dossie, Angie Salacup, Manuel Salacup, Richard Dossie, Porshe Dossie, Harmoni Dossie, Tacarra Green and Maalcolm Green; 14 great-grandchildren, Thomas, Tsipora, Jared, India, Brianna, Cody, Rave, William, Joshua, Samuel, Jasmine, Zaraha, Aniya and Antonio; and one great-great grandchild, William.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Nov. 28, 2009, at Saint John Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Delwynn Williams officiating and the Rev. Woodrow Wilson will bring the eulogistic message. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Panama City, Fla.
Public viewing will be held from 1-8 p.m. today, Nov. 27, 2009. The family will receive friends at the homes of Willie Mae Thomas and Dorothy Wilson.
