Glenn Wright Kinman, 88, of Hartford, AL, formerly of Panama City, passed away Friday, June 17, 2011. He was born in Walla Walla, WA, and had moved to Panama City in 1959. Glenn served as a radar operator in the US Navy during WWII, retiring from the USN Reserve at the rank of Lieutentant. After his Navy service, he worked 42 years in civil service, working in Washington, Mississippi, Virginia, and Florida, ending his career at the USN Mine Defense Lab in Panama City.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Kinman in 2002, and his parents, Glenn and Mary Jane Kinman.
Survivors include his son, Gary Kinman and wife Patty of Hartford, AL; his granddaughter, Heather Manry and husband Bo of Locust Grove, GA; and his great-grandson, Paxton Manry of Locust Grove.
A funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM Monday, June 20, 2011, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bruce Spivey officiating. Interment with US Navy honors will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until service time at 2:00.
