Lee David Cox, 85, of Panama City, FL, passed away Friday, November 30, 2012 at his home. Lee was born in Mingo Junction, OH, and lived in Bay County since 1983. He served in the US Navy during WWII, and retired as a supervisor at Hercules Chemical Company in Pittsburgh, PA. Lee was a former fire chief of the Bunola, PA Volunteer Fire Department. He was an active member of the Parker United Methodist Church, and was an avid fisherman. Lee enjoyed dancing with the 55 Plus Club. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lona Watson Cox.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Vineyard Cox of Panama City; his children, Sondra Wolff (Don) of Bethel, PA, Karen Williams (Harry) of Elizabeth, PA, and David Cox (Eddi) of Espyville, PA; a sister, Lois Brubaker of Monanghela, PA; 7 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He also leaves Phyllis' sons and their families, Michael Vineyard (Colleen), Richard Vineyard, and Charles Vineyard, all of Panama City; 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will begin at 10:00 AM Tuesday, December 4, 2012, at the Parker United Methodist Church with Rev. Gary Stringfellow officiating. Interment will follow at the Garden of Memories. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 PM. Asked to serve as pallbearers are Russ Austin, Mike, Rick, and Chuck Vineyard. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Parker United Methodist Church in Lee's memory.
