Sherwin "Mack" Webb, of Panama City, Florida, died Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at Clifford Chester Sims State Veterans Nursing Home after an extended battle with Alzheimer's and a recently diagnosed brain tumor.

Born in Cotton Valley, Louisiana on April 14, 1930, he was the oldest of three siblings born to John and Francis Webb. "Mack," as he was referred to by family and friends, was a doting husband, loving father, grandfather and benevolent friend.

Mack served in the United States Air Force from 1950-1970, where he retired as Master Sargent. He was then employed by First Federal Bank in Panama City, until his retirement after 19 years. Mack then went onto serve for the next 15 years as Chief Deputy at the Bay County Property Appraisers office .

Mack enjoyed the outdoors; golfing, fishing and traveling, along with spending time with family and friends. He was a member of the Exchange Club, Crime Stoppers, Salvation Army, Chamber of Commerce, and Military Affairs.

Mack was preceded in death by his mother, Francis Cox Webb; his father, John Sherwin Webb; his granddaughter, Amber Maloy; and his brother, Billy Dale Webb.

Mack is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Joyce Webb of Panama City. He is also survived by a sister, Ruby Boone of Dallas, Texas; three daughters, Rhonda Trimble and her husband Steve of East Liverpool, Ohio, Pam Maloy and her husband Richard of Panama City and Stacy Walker also of Panama City; six grandchildren, Casey Hamilton and Jessie Trimble of Pennsylvania, and Robert Sherwin Walker, Alexandria Walker, Samantha Rodriguez and Amanda Maloy, all of Panama City; seven great-grandchildren, Cody Bradley, Reagan Hamilton, Jackson Hamilton, Brent Trimble, Logan Trimble all of Pennsylvania and Alyssia Walker and Brooklyn Walker of Panama City; and a special family friend, Paul Lippencott.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Kent Forest Lawn Chapel. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 15, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at Kent Forest Lawn Funeral Home.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff of Clifford Chester Sims State Veterans Nursing Home for the love and care shown to Mack and his family.
