Willie Simmons, 77, of Panama City, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 21, 2013, surrounded by his family. Willie enjoyed fishing and fixing just about anything he could get his hands on. He was incredibly dedicated to his church and family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Martha and Henry Wesley Simmons; brothers, Bill Simmons, Frank Simmons, Buck Simmons, William Simmons, John Simmons and Sam Simmons; and sisters, Anna Lee Sealy and Anna Lou McClean.
He is survived by three sons, Joseph (Crystal) Simmons, Darby (Aubrey) Morris and Clay (Denise) Simmons; four daughters, Abigail (Johnny) Hill, Phillis Harrington, Marlene Newsom and Wanda (Lester) Frye; 11 grand-sons, Isaiah, Chris, Nathan, Daniel, Travis, Johnathan, Willie, Little John Harrington, Joshua, Quincy and Wesley; eight granddaughters, Brittni, Cynthia, Little Phillis Harrington, Winona, Mary, Marie, Caitlin and Laurel; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, June 24, 2013, at Springfield Community Church in Panama City. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service. Those wishing to extend a word of condolence may do so at www.heritagefhllc.com.
