Col. Donald J. Heath (USAF Ret.) flew away to the wild blue yonder September 19, 2013.

Don was born November 11, 1932 in Syracuse, New York. Don was a pilot in the Air Force until 1974 when he retired at the rank of Lt. Colonel. Don was also a passionate and avid photographer who loved to travel. He leaves behind his crew chief of 19 years, Viola Heath.

He is also survived by his children, Michael J. Heath and his wife, Cindy, David A. Heath and his wife, Laura, Matthew F. Heath and his wife, Lovell, the mother of his children, Geraldine A. Heath, his brother Fred and his daughter Kim and her husband Kevin from Syracuse, New York, his sister, Anne Russell and her husband, David from Charlottesville, Virginia, grandchildren, Ryan and Trish Heath and family, Amber and Dan Thach and family, Chance and Diana Heath and family, Kyle Heath, Lucas and Lauren Heath, Keisha and Jayme Jones and family, Kendal and Marissa Gober and family, Kelsey Gober, Vi's children Wayne and Sheila Brake, Beverly and Bill Stapleton, grandchildren, Cheryl and Anthony and family, Doraize and John and family, Alvin and Nadine and family, Lori and Sherman and family, Raegan A Stapleton, Billie Marie Stapleton, special cousins, Bob and Florence Harper from Hemassas Spring and Lorriane and John Devereux and Mike and Jenny Hearn – all of Newfoundland.

Funeral services with military honors will be held at Barrancas National Cemetery, NAS Pensacola at a later date.
