Alvin Boden, 92, passed away Sunday evening, Nov. 3, 2013, at Bay Medical Center in Panama City, Fla. He was born on Feb. 12, 1921 in Jackson, Mo. He was the only child of Alvin Bodenstein and Cecile Cordelia Randol Bodenstein who preceded him in death. He married the former Dorothy Pepmiller in 1949 after they graduated Southeast Missouri State University and were teaching school. Ten years later, he moved the family to Panama City, Fla., where he worked in the building industry and real estate. He was a WWII U.S. Army veteran, serving as a medic in Africa, Italy and France. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Panama City, Fla.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Dorothy Boden; a son, Dan Boden; a daughter and son-in-law, Nancee Cobb and Ronald Michael Cobb; two grandsons, Ryan Cobb and Tyler Cobb.
Memorialization will be by cremation.
