James Simpson Obituary
Feb. 25, 1926-Dec. 1, 2013
James Allen Simpson, 88, of Panama City Beach passed away Sunday, December 1, 2013.
Mr. Simpson was born February 26, 1925 to the late James A. and Vida J. Simpson in Lorain, OH. He majored in music but was in journalism and Public Relations throughout his career. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a radar man on the aircraft carrier, USS Ticonderoga CV-14. The ship was hit by Kamikazes twice and was in Tokyo Bay with the 3rd Fleet for the signing of the armistice with Japan.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Laurel Ann Simpson.
Mr. Simpson is survived by his beloved bride of 63 years, Carolyn "Cary" Simpson; a son, Rob Simpson (Linda); grandsons, Justin Simpson (Susie), Jason Vetter; a granddaughter, Barbara Whited (Blaine) and a brother, Thomas Simpson.

Carolyn and family, I'm saddened to hear about Jim. He was such a special person to me. I loved working with him. He always brought a smile to my face and touched my heart in many ways. Sorry for your loss.
