William "Bill" Faust, 87, of Callaway, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014, at a Montgomery hospital. Bill, a resident of Bay County for 45 years was retired from the U. S. Air Force with 24 years of service. During WWII while working in the shipyard in Mobile, he was drafted into the Army Air Corps. After his separation from his military service, he worked as a lineman and forester. He re-enlisted in the U. S. Air Force, serving during the Korean conflict and was a Vietnam veteran. After retiring from the Air Force, Bill started his own air conditioning and refrigeration business specializing in ice machines. Bill loved traveling by driving cross county to Alaska and working on his farm in Alabama.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, John and Pearlie Faust; his sister, Avis Trochez; and his brothers, Wilton and Buddy Faust. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Frances S. Faust; five children, Barbara F. Kinney, Stephen Faust, Michael Faust, Glenn Faust and William Faust, Jr. (Cindy); and six grandchildren, William, Lisa, Bonnie, Lynn, Sherry Kinney and Joseph Faust.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Kent Forest Lawn Chapel with the Rev. Steve Bates officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends and visitors on Monday evening, Aug. 18, 2014, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
