James Charles "Shine" Shazier, Jr., 71, a cook transitioned Friday, Nov. 30 in Panama City.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. (cst) Friday, Dec. 7 at Macedonia MB Church with burial at Hillside Cemetery, both in Panama City. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6 at Greater Faith Spiritual House of Prayer in Panama City.
Survivors include a loving and devoted wife: Melissa Shazier; daughter: Shaquana West; sons: Jaquan Whitley and Daquan Whitley all of Panama City, Florida and (4) grand children: Honesty, Wisdom, Eliyas, and Carlaysia Whitley; brothers: Arthur Lee (Velma) Shazier, Alphene (Jane ) Brown, Ronald Anderson, Tony Anderson, Stephan (Olga) Anderson and Wayne (Lori) Bowden; sisters: Vonnie Anderson, Fedora Brown, Nadine Kirkland, Lizzette Holcomb, and Betty J. Shazier; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

My deepest and sincere condolences to out to the family "Shine" will be truly missed. He has been a true and dear friend and I will miss him but I know that he isn't suffering anymore he is with God. So family be strong and know that everything happens according to God's perfect plan.
