COAL TOWNSHIP — Arlene M. Fisher, 90, formerly of Elysburg RD1 and 327 W. Third St., Mount Carmel, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at Geisinger-Shamokin Area Community Hospital. She was ill the past few years.
Born in Catawissa, Jan. 8, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Isaac and Edna (Singley) Hamdan, who lived in Catawissa.
She attended school in Catawissa.
On Nov. 11, 1939, in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Marion Heights, she married George J. Fisher, who preceded her in death Sept. 24, 1989.
She worked at Dale Manufacturing in Marion Heights most of her life, and was a member of Divine Redeemer Church, Mount Carmel.
Surviving are two children, Anne Harrison, of Mount Carmel, and Joseph Fisher and his wife, Marlene, of Den-Mar Gardens; a daughter-in-law, Carol Fisher, of Malvern; seven grandchildren, Brent Fisher, of Mechanicsburg, Stephanie Fisher, of Etters, Jim, Dennis and Diane Fisher, all of Malvern, Thomas Harrison and his wife, Debbie, of Somerset, Mass., and Georgiana Harrison, of Lake Wales, Fla.; three great-grandchildren, Dustin, Dane and Lara; three nieces, Bonnie Haney and her husband, Jim, of Numidia, Pat Steige, of Anchorage, Alaska, and Deanne Courtney, of Illinois.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, James Fisher and Thomas Fisher; three sisters, Patrice "Treacie" Raup, Miriam Dixon and Phyllis Fisher, and two brothers, Charles and Joseph Hamdan.

FISHER — Arlene M. Fisher, 90, formerly of Elysburg RD1 and 327 W. Third St., Mount Carmel. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Divine Redeemer Church, 300 W. Avenue, Mount Carmel, with the Rev. John A. Szada Jr. officiating. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Bear Gap. Viewing will be held from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday in the C.J.
