SHAMOKIN — Miriam E. Henninger, 92, of 201 W. Mulberry St., passed away Saturday, June 22, 2013, at Geisinger-Shamokin Area Community Hospital, Coal Township, after being ill since January. She was hospitalized June 18.
She was born in Natalie, June 15, 1921, a daughter of John William and Lulu Faust Henninger. Miriam lived in Shamokin since 1943.
She was a 1939 graduate of Mount Carmel Township High School.
She was a seamstress for Shroyer's Dress Company.
She attended First Baptist Church, Shamokin.
Miriam is survived by a sister, Louise Bowser, of Mechanicsburg, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Hilton Henninger and Clair Henninger, and a sister, Dorcas Haak.

HENNINGER — Miriam E. Henninger, 92, of 201 W. Mulberry St., Shamokin. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Farrow Funeral Home, 240 W. Chestnut St., Shamokin. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Trevorton Road. A viewing will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
