Mildred Klinger Obituary

Mildred E. Klinger, 99, of Donaldson Road, Tremont, died Friday, Oct. 25, 2013 at Tremont Health & Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Ohio, April 20, 1914, she was a daughter of the late James and Bessie Hole Christ.

Mildred was the owner of Klingers grocery store, Pine Grove.

She was a member of Suedberg Church of God, Pine Grove.

Mildred liked to cook and enjoyed having her family over on Sunday afternoons. She also enjoyed her grandchildren coming over in the summer and she liked to crochet.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira G. Klinger, June 3, 1983; daughter, Evelyn Bashore; great-granddaughter, Shelly Emerich; two sisters, Helen Ream and Mary Martin; and brother, Edward Christ.

Surviving are four grandchildren, Audrey Brown, Bethel, Charlene Muckle, Lebanon, Edward "Butch" Bashore and wife, Donna, Mount Aetna, and Wenda Dinatle, Lebanon; six great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 28 at H.L. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., Pine Grove, with Pastor Ernest Diefenderfer officiating. Interment followed in Suedberg Church of God Cemetery, Pine Grove. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions in her memory be made to the Compassionate Care Hospice, 100 E. Brown St., Suite 23, Middletown, PA 17057.
