Walter, Carl "Boo"  
ASHLAND — Carl "Boo" Walter, 75, of 14 Market St., passed away Sunday, April 12, 2015, at Geisinger-Shamokin Area Community Hospital, Coal Township. Born July 1, 1939, in Ashland, he was a son of the late William and Rose (Reinoehl) Walter. He attended Ashland schools. Carl married Marlene (Dietrick) Walter, who survives. He worked at St. Catherine Medical Center, Fountain Springs, until his retirement. He was a member of Zion's United Church of Christ, Ashland, the Frackville Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons and the Washington Fire Company. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons and a daughter, Carl, husband of Susan Walter, of Kulpmont, Ann, wife of John Smith, of Lavelle, and David, husband of Renee Walter, of Ringtown; his grandchildren, Alyssa and Alyson Smith and Ryan and Jordan Walter, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Francis, Lester, Merrell, Ralph, William and John, and his sisters, Mildred Hepler, Florence Yashin and Jean Kleman. /// /// WALTER — Carl "Boo" Walter, 75, of 14 Market St., Ashland. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland, with the Rev. David Grant officiating. Interment will be at Sunnyside Cemetery.
