Ada M. Fishburn

ASHLAND — Ada M. Fishburn, 87, of 1100 Brock St., passed away Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at her residence.

Born in Weisample, May 12, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Russell and Lillian (Carl) Klinger.

She was a member of Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church, Ashland, and worked for many years as a private nurse until retirement.

Surviving are a son, David Fishburn and his wife, Brenda, of Ashland; a daughter, Robin Wentworth and her husband, James, of Tamaqua; two brothers, Donald Klinger, of Ashland, and Harley Klinger, of Mountain Top; two sisters, Fern Clark, of Stroudsburg, and Linda Kehler, of Montana; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer L. Fishburn, in 2005; three sons, Adam, Elmer and Larry Jr.; two daughters, Mabel and Gloria Bucher.


FISHBURN — Ada M. Fishburn, 87, of 1100 Brock St., Ashland. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland, with the Rev. Mark Brownson officiating. A viewing will be held from 9 a.m. until time of services. Interment will be in Weisample Cemetery, Weisample.
