MOUNT CARMEL — Agnes T. (Kalinosky) Gudonis, 72, of 247 S. Walnut St., passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born in Turkey Run, Oct. 3, 1941, she was a daughter of the late William and Elsie Kalinosky.
She worked at Merchants Bank in Shenandoah and various other places. After marrying John Gudonis, she became a housewife and raised her sons, Tony and Billy.
She attended Catholic school and also attended McCann School of Business.
She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Mount Carmel.
Agnes loved doing ceramics, picking huckleberries, taking long walks and taking care of her family. She was a very nice person and would help anyone in their time of need.
Surviving are her sons, Tony Gudonis and his wife, Julie, of Kulpmont, and Billy Gudonis, with whom she resided in Mount Carmel; a grandson, Shane Gudonis; cousins, Paul and Sheryl Marshall, of Frackville, and Jon Pitts, of Lavelle; and her loving dog, Muggzie.
She was preceded in death by sisters, Marie Pitts, Dorothy Marshall and Helen Morris, and a nephew, Louis Morris.
GUDONIS — Agnes T. (Kalinosky) Gudonis, 72, of 247 S. Walnut St., Mount Carmel. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Church of Our Lady, Mount Carmel, with Father David Dormer officiating. Burial will be at a later date in St. George Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. A viewing will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, prayer vigil at 8 p.m., and 9 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the C.J. Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 27 N. Vine St., Mount Carmel, C.J. Lucas IV, supervisor. Contributions can be made to the funeral home to help defray costs.
