Albert H. Mitsky, 79, of Pine Grove, died Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at home.
Born on Dec. 2, 1934, in Pine Grove, he was a son of the late Joseph and Emma Romain Mitsky.
Albert was employed as a leather cutter for Garden State Tannery.
Albert was a graduate of Pine Grove High School and a lifetime member of the HH&L Fire Company No. 1, Pine Grove.
Al was a caring man who loved his family and would do anything to help anyone. He was a handyman who could fix whatever needed repairing. He enjoyed bowling and had been a former member of the Sod Buster's Golf Association.
Preceding him in death were his wife of 53 years, Janet D. Zimmerman Mitsky, on May 1, 2009; two brothers, Joseph and Clarence Mitsky; and a sister, Eleanor Tkacik.
Surviving are a son, Timothy Mitsky, St. Louis, Mo.; a daughter, Ann, wife of Kevin Klinger; a granddaughter, Katie, wife of Jason Brown; and a sister, Florence Strouphauer, all of Pine Grove.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 1 at H.L. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., with Dr. Richard W. Schoenleber officiating. Interment followed in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Pine Grove.
