Alexander A. Maisuk

COAL TOWNSHIP — Alexander A. Maisuk, 90, of 101 N. Ash St., Apt. 809, passed away at 12:06 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014, at his residence.

Born Oct. 16, 1923, in Shamokin, he was a son of the late Joseph and Helen (Dembroski) Maisuk. He was a lifelong resident of the Shamokin area.

Alexander attended Coal Township schools.

He worked as a coal miner and a car runner at the Glen Burn Colliery.

He was a member of Mother Cabrini Church, East End Fire Company and St. Francis Home Association.

Surviving are a brother, John Maisuk, of Coal Township.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Brozowski, and Regina Maksymchak.

MAISUK — Alexander A. Maisuk, 90, of 101 N. Ash St., Apt. 809, Coal Township. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Leonard J. Lucas Funeral Home, Ltd., 120 S. Market St., Shamokin, with a friar from Mother Cabrini Church as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Coal Township. Viewing will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of the service Thursday at the funeral home.
