COAL TOWNSHIP — Anna H. Pawlicki, 95, of 1126 W. Arch St., passed away at 11:48 a.m. Monday, Dec. 9, 2013, at Mountain View: A Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born Dec. 17, 1917, in Coal Township, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Victoria (Luberecki) Sokoloski.
She attended St. Stephen's Elementary School and was a graduate of Coal Township High School.
On March 4, 1944, in St. Stephen Church, Coal Township, she married Charles W. Pawlicki, who preceded her in death Jan. 4, 1970.
She was employed in the garment industry, in the needle shop of various local garment factories.
She was a member of the former St. Stephen Church, now Our Lady of Hope Church, Coal Township, and was a member of the Shamokin/Coal Township Senior Action Center, the Sunflower Club at Transfiguration of Our Lord Ukrainian Catholic Church, the Starlight Club at Mother Cabrini Church, the Elks Ladies Auxiliary and the Catholic Daughters of the Americas.
Surviving are a daughter, Charlotte Sandri, and her husband, Jon R. Sandri Jr., of Raleigh, N.C.; two sons, Michael J. Pawlicki, of Coal Township, and Richard Pawlicki and his wife, Renee, of Coal Township; four grandchildren, Winston Sandri, Drew Sandri, Mya R. Rushton and Lea M. Pawlicki; three great-grandchildren, Eli Rushton and Brett and Brady Sandri; a brother, Frank, and his wife, Elda Sokoloski; a sister, Claire Haddock, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Adele Zygmond, Isadore Sokoloski, Joseph Sokoloski, Victoria Lally and Regina Llewellen, and a grandson, Jon R. Sandri III, who passed away Dec. 6.
PAWLICKI — Anna H. Pawlicki, 95, of 1126 W. Arch St., Coal Township. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Leonard J. Lucas Funeral Home, Ltd, 120 S. Market St., Shamokin, with the Rev. Ruslan Romanyuk officiating. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg. Viewing will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
