KULPMONT — Anna Mary Thomas, 100, of 917 Scott St., passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at Emmanuel Center, Danville.
Born July 31, 1912, in Kulpmont, she was a daughter of the late James Vincent and Mary (DiRenzo) Tommaso. She was a lifelong resident of Kulpmont, living in the same residence her entire life.
She attended St. Mary's Grade School, Kulpmont.
She was employed at Kan-Mac Mills and the Anthra Textile Factory.
Anna was a former member of St. Mary's Church, now Church of the Holy Angels, Kulpmont. She enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting and knitting as her pastimes.
Surviving are two sisters, Helen Grimooris, of Harrisburg, and Irene Zarkoski, of Woodbridge, N.J.; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and two sisters-in-law, Olga Thomas, of Kulpmont, and Mary Thomas, of Camp Hill.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Anthony, Alfred, Nicholas and Robert "Pippy" Thomas; three infant brothers, Joseph, Frank and Albert, and three sisters, Theresa Mischeck, Agatha Thomas and Margaret Seder.
THOMAS — Anna Mary Thomas, 100, of 917 Scott St., Kulpmont. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Angels Church, Kulpmont, with the Rev. Andrew Stahmer officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Kulpmont. Viewing will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday. with vigil prayers at 8 p.m. Friday, and from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. Saturday at C.J.
