Bernard J. Bruni

KULPMONT — Bernard J. Bruni, 90, of 514 Spruce St., Kulpmont, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born in Rome, Italy, July 6, 1923, he was a son of the late John and Dorothy (Vona) Bruni.

A graduate of South Park High School in Buffalo, N.Y., he was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

On March 11, 1946, in Philadelphia, he married the former Veronica A. Silvinski, who preceded him in death Aug. 16, 2010.

He was a member of Holy Angels Church, Kulpmont.

Surviving are four grandchildren, John, Christine and Michelle Bruni and Patricia Sullivan, a great-grandchild, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Charles Bruni, and three sisters, Rosemary Stafford, Cecelia Forucci and Jeanette Kapula.


BRUNI — Bernard J. Bruni, 90, of 514 Spruce St., Kulpmont. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Angels Church, 855 Scott St., Kulpmont, with the Rev. Andrew Stahmer as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Kulpmont. Viewing will be from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Monday at Joseph J. Stutz Inc. Funeral Home, 40 S.
