Bruce B. Brosius

Bruce B. Brosius, 87, of 2101 East Main Street, Valley View, died Wednesday, Oct. 3, at his residence.

He was born on Sunday, Nov. 9, 1924, in Valley View, a son of the late Daniel and Ethel Adams Bloch.

He attended the former Hegins Twp. High School and Steven's Trade School, Lancaster.

He served in the US Army in the Philippine's during World War II.

He was a self employed truck driver prior to his retirement.

He was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View.

He was also a member of American Legion Post 575, Valley View.

Bruce enjoyed woodworking, boating, fishing, and camping.

He was preceded in death by a son, Randy B. Brosius and a half brother, Kenneth Bloch.

He is survived by his wife Shirley D. Kimmel Brosius, to whom he was married for 62 years.

He is also survived by two sons David B. Brosius of Joliett and Michael B. Brosius and wife Michele of Valley View; six grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and a half sister Marion Klinger of Gratz.

Funeral services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Saturday, Oct. 6, with Rev. Duane Bardo officiating.

There will be no viewing. Burial with military honors were made in St. Andrew's Cemetery, Valley View.
