Charles W. "Chuck" LaCross

CATAWISSA — Charles W. "Chuck" LaCross, 63, of 125 Ideal Park Road, Lot 19, passed away at 8:33 p.m. Thursday, July 11, 2013, at his residence.

He was born Feb. 9, 1950, in Danville, a son of the late Vincent and Dorothy (Evans) LaCross. He was formerly of Harrisburg and lived in Catawissa for the past three years.

He was a 1967 graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes Regional High School.

He served in the U.S. Coast Guard.

Charles was employed by the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency as an Internet technology coordinator.

He was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Church, Catawissa.

Charles was a very caring, giving and generous person. He loved the outdoors, nature and all animals.

Surviving are his sisters and brothers, Sally Kanaskie, of Mifflinburg, Vincent LaCross and his wife, Sandra, of Bellefonte, and Elizabeth Joseph and her husband, David, of Elysburg; six nieces and nephews; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews, and his long-time companion and rescue dog, Thor.

LACROSS — Charles W, "Chuck" LaCross, 63, of 125 Ideal Park Road, Lot 19, Catawissa. Friends and relatives are asked to meet at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 304 Slabtown Road, Catawissa, for a Mass of Christian Burial. A committal service will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Bear Gap. There will be no visitation or hours of calling. The Leonard J. Lucas Funeral Home, Ltd., 120 S. Market St., Shamokin, has been entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Our Lady of Mercy Parish, 304 Slabtown Road, Catawissa, PA 17820.
