Constance C. Laskoski

KULPMONT — Constance C. Laskoski, 88, of 1028 Scott St., died Saturday, March 15, 2014, surrounded by her loving family at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where she had been since Tuesday evening.

She was born in Coal Township, May 11, 1925, a daughter of the late Joseph and Anne (Wargo) Knovich.

She was a lifelong resident of Kulpmont, and was a homemaker.

She attended Coal Township High School.

On July 5, 1948, at the former St. Joseph Church, Shamokin, she married Clement C. Laskoski Sr., who died Feb. 8, 1983.

She was a member of Holy Angels Church and the former St. Casimir's Church. She loved taking care of her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also liked cooking, sewing, gardening and camping.

Surviving are a daughter, Camille Laskoski, with whom she resided; a son, Clem Laskoski Jr. and his wife, Debbie, of Kulpmont; a daughter-in-law, Geraldine Laskoski, of Kulpmont; a grandson, Clem Laskoski III and his wife, Michelle, of Trevorton; a granddaughter, Julie Laskoski, of Nashville, Tenn.; great-grandchildren, Gabrielle and Hannah Laskoski, and another great-granddaughter to be born in June; a sister, Lorraine Oszko and her husband, Leonard, of Coal Township, and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a son, Gerald J. Laskoski, who died May 7, 2013; a grandson, Christopher J. Madden, who died Oct. 25, 2012, and a brother, Richard Knovich Sr.

LASKOSKI — Constance C. Laskoski, 88, of 1028 Scott St., Kulpmont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Angels Church, Kulpmont, with the Rev. David Dormer as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Casimir's Cemetery, Marion Heights. A viewing will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, with rosary recitation at 8 p.m., and 9 to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday at C.J. Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 1053 Chestnut St., Kulpmont, C.J. Lucas, supervisor. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Holy Angels Church, 855 Scott St., Kulpmont 17834.
