Frank E. Angeli

MIDDLETOWN — Frank E. Angeli, 87, of Middletown, passed away Monday, March 25, 2013.

Born June 30, 1925, in Mount Carmel, he was a son of the late Joseph and Mabel (Mathew) Angeli.

He was a WWII U.S. Navy veteran and participated in the actions at Iwo Jima, Guam and Saipan.

He married Mary H. (Ramage) Angeli, who survives.

Frank retired from Schaedler Brothers after more than 30 years of service.

He was a member of the Pine Street Presbyterian Church. Frank was an avid golfer, and enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodworking.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, David F. Angeli and his wife, Karen, of Halifax, and Stephen R. Angeli and his wife, Valerie, of Hershey; two granddaughters, Leslie George and her husband Clayton, and Nicole Angeli; a step-grandson, Scott Askins; two brothers, Lowell Angeli, of Middletown, and Kenneth Angeli, of Mount Carmel, and a sister, Dorothy Leonardi, of Mount Carmel.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Joylean Joyce, and a brother, Joseph Angeli.

ANGELI — Frank E. Angeli, 87, of Middletown. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at the Zimmerman-Auer Funeral Home, Inc., 4100 Jonestown Road, Harrisburg. Interment with military honors at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery will follow the service. Viewing will be from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Middletown Home, 999 W. Harrisburg Pike, Middletown, PA 17057.
