Guy H. Wagner, 84, of Arden Courts, Harrisburg, formerly of Hegins, died Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Arden Courts.
He was born on Monday, July 22, 1929, in Barry Twp., a son of the late Russell and Mary Landers Wagner.
He was a 1947 graduate of the former Hegins Twp. High School.
He was a timber man and coal miner and had retired from the former Hegins Precision Division of Penn Reel.
He was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, Hegins; where he was a choir member and a Sunday School teacher.
He was also a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, a former park trustee for the Hegins Park, and a former Little League coach.
Guy was an avid golfer, enjoyed tennis, reading, walking, and hunting.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Harold Wagner.
He is survived by his wife, Mary A Frisch Wagner, to whom he was married for 63 years.
He is also survived by two sons, Russell L. Wagner and his wife Donna of Hegins and Larry J. Wagner of Hegins; a daughter, Barbara A. Reeves and her husband Willie of Harrisburg; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; brother, Clifford Wagner of Vineland, NJ; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services were held at St. John's United Methodist Church, Hegins on Saturday, May 10, with the Rev. William Danis and Rev. Charles Shearer officiating. There was no viewing or visitation.
Burial was made at the convenience of the family in St. John's Cemetery, Hegins.
