Harriet L. Wolfe

Harriet L. Wolfe, 93, of 475 Fearnot Rd, Hegins, died Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born on Sunday, March 21, 1920, in Hubley Twp., a daughter of the late Jacob Miller and Mary Elizabeth Wolfgang Miller.

She was an inspector for the former Muskin Shoe Factory, Millersburg, prior to her retirement.

She was a member of St. Peter's United Methodist Church, Fearnot; where she was also a member of the Women's Group.

Her husband Elwood Z. "Jiggs" Wolfe died in 1982. She was also preceded in death by her daughter and son in law, Violet Michael and Elwood Michael; by six brothers, Clarence Miller, Levi Miller, Melvin Miller, Jacob Miller, Walter Miller, and James Miller; and by three sisters, Lillian Miller, Esther M. Klinger, and Edna Fetter.

She is survived by two grandsons, Ricky Michael and his wife Lisa of Tremont and Terry Michael of Spring Glen; three granddaughters, Beverly Reiner and her husband Gene of Klingerstown, Cindy Paul and her husband David of Lykens, and Sandy Weaver and her husband Ricky of Pillow; fifteen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; a sister in law, Thelma Wolfe; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Friday, March 14, 2014, at 11 a.m. with Rev. William Danis officiating. A viewing will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be made in St. Peter's Cemetery, Fearnot.
