CATAWISSA — Hilda K. Schultz, 96, formerly of Mount Carmel and 10 Skyview Road, Catawissa, passed away at home Thursday, April 24, 2014.
Born Sept. 22, 1917, in Leck Kill, she was a daughter of the late John and Pearl (Snyder) Keim.
She was a graduate of Mount Carmel Township High School and the Allentown General Hospital School of Nursing.
On Oct. 19, 1940, in the Grace Evangelical and Reformed Church, Mount Carmel, presently the Grace United Church of Christ of which she was most recently a member, she married Theodore J. Schultz, who survives.
Hilda had worked at Shamokin General Hospital as a registered nurse from 1959 until her retirement in 1979.
She enjoyed crocheting.
In addition to her husband, Ted, she was survived by four children, Theodore Schultz, of Bayfield, Colo., Gail Schultz with whom Hilda and Ted resided, of Catawissa, Susan and her husband, John Gelety, of Bloomsburg, and Debra and her husband, Michael Ryhera, of Downington; 11 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, James Keim.
SCHULTZ — Hilda K. Schultz, 96, formerly of Mount Carmel and 10 Skyview Road, Catawissa. There will be a graveside service at 1 p.m. Monday, at Jacob's Cemetery, Pitman, with the Rev. Joan Brown officiating. The Willard A. Rothermel Funeral Home, Ray W. Rothermel, director, is in charge of arrangements.
