SHAMOKIN — Ida Gertrude Heim, 89, of 1030 N. Rock St., passed away Saturday, July 27, 2013, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where she had been hospitalized since July 23.
She was born Oct. 18, 1923, in Barry, a daughter of the late David O. and Sarah M. (Martz) Fetterolf. She moved to Shamokin in 1972.
She married John Fedako, who preceded her in death.
She worked for Allen Clark's Meats.
Surviving are her children, Sara J. Feese and her husband, Ronald, of Shamokin RD 2, Rose Mary Dilliplane and her husband, Warren, of Kulpmont, Jonathan Fedako and his wife, Sandra, of Shamokin RD, Philip Fedako and his wife, Diane, of Ashland, Julia Stout and her husband, John, of Mooreseville, N.C., and Byrdy Snyder and her husband, Carl, of South Abington Township; nine grandchildren, Rhonda Quici, Heather Kreider, Crystal Kirkner, Erick Fedako, Laurel Strayer, Kelly Reiff, Phillip Fedako Jr., Jenna Hoffert and Dana Stout Carrillo, and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tiffany Lynn Stout; two sisters, Viola Bolich and Wanieta Weinreich, and four brothers, Paul, Louis, Herbert and Elwood Leon Fetterolf.
HEIM — Ida Gertrude Heim, 89, of 1030 N. Rock St., Shamokin. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Farrow Funeral Home, Sixth and Chestnut streets, Shamokin, with Elder David Strayer presiding. Burial will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington. Visitation with the family will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.
