John W. Bordner

John W. Bordner, 66, Williamstown, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2013 at his home.

He was born in Harrisburg, December 5, 1946, a son of the late Roy E. Jr. and June Ballattee Bordner.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Dannette Bordner.

He retired as a supervisor from R.G.I.S. Inventory Service; was a 1965 graduate of the former John Harris High School, Harrisburg, where he was a member of the National Honor Society; the John Harris High School Hall of Fame; American Legion Post No. 124, Lykens and treasurer of the Upper Dauphin Dart League for 18 years. He enjoyed coin collecting.

Surviving are his wife, Ivy L. Plague Bordner; a son, John Bordner Jr., at home; three daughters, Adrian Bordner, Amelia Singh, Pine Grove and Dana Snyder, Lykens; two brothers, Elmer Bordner, Newville and Dana S. Bordner, Uniontown; a sister, Gertrude Thomas, Uniontown; two grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 15, at the John F. Shultz Funeral Home, 406 Market Street, Lykens, with Chaplain David Borton officiating.
