SUNBURY — Kevin W. "Weed" Spade, 42, of North River Avenue, passed away suddenly Tuesday, April 8, 2014, in the emergency room at Sunbury Community Hospital.
Born Oct. 3, 1971, in Shamokin State General Hospital, he was a son of Anne Spade, of Shamokin, and the late Richard W. Wyland, who passed away April 12, 1996.
He had been married to the former Linda (Latshaw) Spade, who survives.
He graduated from Shamokin Area High School in 1989.
Kevin worked as a van driver and also in the mailroom at The Daily Item, Sunbury. Prior to his employment at The Daily Item, he worked for 10 years at Paper Magic, Elysburg.
He enjoyed watching movies. "Weed" was an avid "surfer" on the Internet and liked chatting with his family and friends on Facebook.
In addition to his mother, Kevin is survived by three brothers, Michael R. Spade and his wife, Mandy, of Shamokin, Richard Wyland, of Kulpmont, and Shaine Wyland, of Shamokin; three sisters, Lisa Wyland, of Shamokin, Kim Hine, of Shamokin, and Chelsea Miller, of Sunbury; his companion, Tammy Leitzel, of Sunbury, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, and his pet cat, Cinci.
SPADE — Kevin W. "Weed" Spade, 42, of North River Avenue, Sunbury. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Hope Church, First and Chestnut streets, Coal Township. Interment will follow Mass at All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg. Family and friends are invited to call at the visitation from 9 to 9:50 a.m. Friday at the church. The James Kelley Funeral Home, 1001 W. Arch St. at Maple Street, is in charge of the arrangements.
